With the roof and and the painting finished…we just beat the rain and weather.
Overnight, the insulation was installed and the electrical and mechanicals were finished off.
The city inspectors stopped and gave off their official stamp of approval on the work so far. A great finish to a great day! Thank you to all of our volunteers and partners.
Simmons Homes will construct a home in a record-setting four days to benefit a local family. Construction on the Operation Faith home will begin at 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 12 in Lake Valley subdivision at 108th Street North and 145th East Avenue in Owasso.
“Last September, Kim Bellmyer, a member of the Simmons Homes family received news that is every parent’s nightmare,” said Greg Simmons. “Her 8-year-old son, Jordan, was diagnosed with brain stem glioma, a form of cancer.” (read full article)
A team of volunteers is building a home for free for an Owasso family whose young son is fighting cancer. Work began early Thursday morning. It would usually take 65 days to build a home like this. News On 6 anchor Craig Day reports instead, it will take only four.

It is nearing dinner time and everyone has been busy. The structure of the home is complete and the roof is going on. We will begin painting soon ahead of schedule to try and beat the weather coming this way.
The plumbers are hard at work inside and should be finished by 7:00. Overall we are 2 hours ahead of schedule!

In only 4 hours – we have the house framed with the windows and siding being installed. The community response has been tremendous.
